Lise-Meitner-Park
Lise-Meitner-Park, Bahrenfeld, Altona, Hamburg, 22607, Deutschland, Hamburg
Lise-Meitner-Park is a park covering approximately 14.3 hectares, making it the largest in the Hamburg district of Groß-Flottbek. Originally this area was used as an airfield until 1968, when construction began on the New Hamburg Elbe Tunnel. During the roughly 3.3-kilometer-long Elbe Tunnel project, tons of sand and earth were excavated between 1968 and 1975, and these materials were temporarily stored at the airfield. The district of Altona later used this sand to shape the beautiful Lise-Meitner-Park. Just as construction workers did back then, countless gay and bisexual men still gather here today. The preferred meeting spot is at dusk on the large hill or along Stiefmütterchen-Weg. This park is for everyone, from young to old, because fun is what it's all about. If you're ever near Lise-Meitner-Park, you should definitely stop by and take the chance. Also worth checking out: Cruising Area Volkspark
